Race Notes: Bloomingdale, Illinois hosted the Chicago Cross Cup’s New Year’s Day Resolution. Minutes passed, bikes exchanged & washed, Trebon-Powers, Powers-Trebon, Powers-Trebon! each took the lead because he could. A gust and a gale forced the fans to pull close their hats and scarves and mutter “what?” over cowbells and muddy drive trains. All hail Trebon as he sprints away for victory like the fourth-quarter quarterback he appears to be!
