At the 2012 Exergy Team Presentation, Women from around the world meet in downtown Boise, Idaho. The story of the day is of course about the stolen and recovered racing machines from Team Tibco but there are other stories to remember. Belgian, Dutch, and Italian voices and say the word “Idaho” for the first time. It is uttered in a phonetic staccato by nervous racers making their first trip to America. “What does it mean?” asks one of team directors. After a quick glance at Wikipedia we offer, “Something about the sun or maybe the word was made up by the prospector George Willing who loved a girl named Ida.” The response in quickly delivered Italian is “Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful…”
