Some of the Heroes think we went to a Philosophy lecture in college. It is possible that we were asked to contemplate a bit of Aristotilean thinking in a short essay about the Four Causes of an object or was it five. We are almost positive if any of this happened that we took the easy way out and wrote about baseball bats or something made of wood. We really cannot remember.
Last week we biked around Chicago with our favorite crankset of all time and thought about this particular Italian object and wished we had used it as our subject. We settled on the backdrop of the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago and the tropical plants that call this glass hall home. Organic and the industrial, it just made sense. It is our favorite place for dates and a good place to take a friend who needs a sanctuary from the city.
