Michelin Pro 4 Service Course

“My botanical documents should contribute to restoring the link with nature. They should reawaken a sense of nature, point to its teeming richness of form, and prompt the viewer to observe for himself the surrounding plant world.”

Karl Blossfeldt

When we gather at Hero Headquarters we often ask What Would Karl Blossfeldt Do (WWKBD)? We usually pose this question with one of our Industrial Design Interns (Becca Hero) and in this case it was her friend Anne Hero. If we asked another photographer they would start talking optics and bellows extension but when you say WWKBD to an industrial designer their eyes squint and they greet you with shared excitement about the object and how its material and technical qualities provide its industrial manufactured language. Yup Lets make photographs!!!

Today we celebrate venerable er newer (nex-gen?) clincher, the Michelin Pro 4 Service Course in Digital Blue (we have not forgotten you BBOX Racing Team!). Boxed! Unboxed! Unfurled! We let the TS Kevlar bead speak of turning roads, recalling a roller-coaster theme park, and at once a nod to Mr. Blossfeldt and maybe a famous architect know for his twisty shapes.
